Bristol Palin Comes Forward With Shocking Allegations of Sexual Harassment Against Her Mom — Media Silent…

Sexual assaults and allegations have been rocking  the political world in recent weeks, and now a new woman has come forward to point the finger at her offenders: Bristol Palin.

Bristol, the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, says that she and her family were the subjects of an intense harassment campaign by members of the media and celebrities for years, but much of what they did was brushed off as “just a joke” by those in power.  “What we need to look at is a real TRUE standard that needs to be set,” she wrote on her blog this weekend. “But here’s a question. How do we pick and choose whom to hold accountable? Why aren’t we looking at all of the sexual harassment? Why are some things ‘just a joke’ for some, and serious offenses for others?”

Bristol goes on to leave a list of those that she feels had said or done the most offensive things to her and her family, leveling accusations specifically at Chris Wallace, David Letterman, Mike Tyson, and rapper Azalea Banks, among others.

Speaking specifically about the incidents involving Chris Wallace and David Letterman, Bristol said that “harassing lines of questioning like that is to sexualize the female guest, thus discrediting the important issues she’s there to discuss,” Bristol said. “Gee, I wonder why voters have a hard time taking female politicians seriously when a news organization is more interested in the size of their bra than their brain?”

Because of the fact that the targets of the harassment were the Palin family, all noted conservatives, it seems that the media is content to just cover up the problems, reaffirming the double standard that exists today in this country. If a conservative is attacked or demeaned, the media is always more than happy to look the other way and pretend nothing happened, as this case shows.

“Sexual harassment will never change when we have the double standards that we do today,” Bristol wrote. “This isn’t about me or my family. Though the comments that have been made about us are horrible, this movement is way bigger than that.”
